Submission and Student Award

 

  • The call for papers will be open from April 1, 2024, and submissions will be accepted until May 20, 2024. The anticipated date for notifying the results of the paper review is July 1, 2024.
  • Students whose papers have been accepted must complete conference registration and payment by July 29, 2024.
    Early bird discount period:
    Registration and payment must be completed by July 1st to 14th. Please take advantage of this opportunity.
  • The full text of the selected papers, as determined by the evaluation, will be included in the conference electronic proceedings. They will be available for download from August 19th to 23rd, with each account limited to one download.

 

 

 

Submission

  1. IEDMS & SNDCT 2024 establish student awards to encourage student submissions.
  2. IEDMS and SNDCT adopt separate submission, separate review, and separate awarding processes.
  3. The conference encourages submissions without limiting the number of submissions, but participants must adhere to academic ethics.
  4. The TSRI JDP team must submit at least one paper to SNDCT to facilitate subsequent JDP applications.
  5. Poster Format for Papers
    Poster presentation boards measure 100 cm wide by 200 cm high in portrait orientation.
    Poster size should be A1 size (w) 594 mm x (h) 841 mm, portrait orientation, bring your own poster to the venue for display.
    There are no restrictions on the layout of poster content, and both Chinese and English languages are allowed. However, the presentation should prioritize readability and clarity. The minimum font size recommended is 24 points (approximately 0.9 cm high), and titles are suggested to be in 36-point font (approximately 1.2 cm high) to facilitate reading. At the top of the poster, please include the title of the paper, the authors' names, and their affiliations, along with contact information for readers who may have questions and wish to contact the authors directly.
  6. Any author information can be modified before the submission deadline.

 

IEDMS

IEDMS Submission Guidelines

  1. Download submission template.
    Create a formatted 2-page abstract, including results, tables, figures, and references, electronically by using the template provided here.
  2. Create the PDF file.
    Submissions are only accepted in PDF format with a maximum size of 20 MB. Authors are requested to carefully check that all content, fonts, and special symbols in their PDF files appear correctly.
  3. Submit paper.

IEDMS Award for Graduate Students

  1. Eligibility: Current master's and doctoral students.
  2. The primary submitter is a master's or doctoral student, while the author group may include undergraduate students, master's and doctoral students, supervising professors, or industry collaborators.
  3. Contributors may submit an unlimited number of papers. Upon acceptance notification, they are eligible to participate in the IEDMS Graduate Poster Competition.
  4. Exceptional paper authors will be separately invited to participate in the IEDMS Graduate Oral Competition.
  5. IEDMS Graduate Poster Competition
    All accepted papers are eligible to display posters. Please complete the poster setup between 9:00 and 10:00 on Wednesday, August 21st, and the evaluation will take place from 13:00 to 14:00 on the same day. The top three winners will be awarded during the closing ceremony.
  6. IEDMS Graduate Oral Competition
    Approximately the top 15% of submissions in each field will be selected for oral presentations. The number of winners will be proportional to the number of submissions. The winners in each field will receive awards during the closing ceremony.
  7. The total number of submissions in each field of the IEDMS exceeds 30, with three awards available; an additional Bronze Award will be given for every additional 15 submissions.
Gold Award:Award certificate and NT$5,000 cash prize
Silver Award:Award certificate and NT$3,000 cash prize
Bronze Award:Award certificate and NT$2,000 cash prize
Excellent Poster Award:Award certificate and NT$1,000 cash prize
Outstanding Poster Award:Award certificate only
*The number of awards will be determined based on the number of submissions, and will be planned entirely by the organizers.

 

IEDMS Award for Undergraduate Students

  1. Eligibility: Current undergraduate students.
  2. The main submitter is undergraduate student, while the author group may include supervising professors or industry collaborators.The author group may not include master's or doctoral students as authors.
  3. Contributors may submit an unlimited number of papers. Upon acceptance notification, they are eligible to participate in the IEDMS Undergraduate Poster Competition.
  4. IEDMS Undergraduate Poster Competition: All accepted papers are eligible to display posters. Please complete the poster setup between 09:00 and 10:00 on Wednesday, August 21st, and the evaluation will take place from 13:00 to 14:00 on the same day. The top three winners will be awarded during the closing ceremony.
  5. If undergraduate students wish to participate in the IEDMS Graduate Competition (including oral and poster presentations), they need to contact the organizing committee and indicate their registration for the graduate group. At this point, the author group may include master's and doctoral students.

SNDCT Submission Guidelines

SNDCT Award

  1. Eligibility: Current undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students are all eligible to participate.
  2. Authors may include undergraduate students, master's and doctoral students, supervising professors, or industry collaborators.
  3. Contributors may submit an unlimited number of papers. Following acceptance, they are eligible to participation in the SNDCT Poster Competition.
  4. The TSRI JDP team must submit at least one paper to the SNDCT to facilitate subsequent JDP applications.
  5. Accepted authors for SNDCT can post their posters from 13:00 to 14:00 on August 19th (Monday) and participate in on-site evaluation from 14:00 to 15:00.
  6. SNDCT Poster Competition: The top seven winners in each field will be recognized during the closing ceremony.

Notes

  1. Please sign in at the presentation venue 15 minutes before the scheduled session for paper presentation. For any inquiries, please contact the on-site staff.
  2. Oral Paper Presentation Guidelines
    • Presentation Time: 15 minutes (12 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for Q&A)
    • Reminder Card: 2 minutes before the end of the presentation
    • One Bell Ring: End of presentation, reminder to start Q&A
    • Three Bells Ring: End of Q&A, closure of discussion time
  3. After the event, if you wish to keep the poster, please ensure it is removed by yourself after the event ends. Posters not removed by 17:00 on the same day will be handled by the organizers.
  4. The closing award ceremony will take place from 15:20 to 15:40 on August 21st. The winners of various paper awards and outstanding poster awards will be announced and awarded during the ceremony. We cordially invite participants of the paper and poster competitions to attend the closing ceremony.
  5. During the award announcement, participating students must be present at the venue. Otherwise, it will be considered as forfeiting the eligibility for receiving the award, and the award will remain unclaimed. During the award presentation, due to the requirement for prize collection, it is necessary to verify the winner's identity with their ID card and student ID.
  6. Authors of accepted papers must transfer the copyright to TSRI and provide the article in Mandarin for publishing the articles.
  7. The prize should be included in the tax declaration.
  8. The organizing committee keeps the right to add remarks and modify the description.
